Privacy and your data
Fertility is personal. You can research clinics on Thai Fertility Path without telling us about yourself; this page sets out what we do receive.

Who is responsible for your data?
Thai Fertility Path (thaifertilitypath.com) is run by the team behind this site, which you can reach at hello@thaifertilitypath.com. Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), known as the PDPA, we are the data controller for the information described here.
You can reach us about privacy at hello@thaifertilitypath.com.
Please keep your medical details to yourself
Information about your fertility, pregnancies, treatment history or sexual health is sensitive personal data under section 26 of the PDPA, and deserves extra care. The safest approach is not to send it to us at all.
We are an information site, not a clinic, so we cannot advise on your case and have no need for your test results, diagnoses or treatment plans. Please do not include them in emails or form submissions. Ask us about the site, and take questions about your own care to a fertility specialist.
If you send us health details anyway, we treat them as sensitive data: we read them only to the extent needed to reply, we do not share them, and we delete them from our records once we have answered, normally within 30 days. By choosing to send them, you give your explicit consent to that limited handling, and you can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete them.
What do we learn when you read the site?
Almost nothing about you as a person. There are no accounts, no comments, no analytics or advertising trackers, and the site does not store anything in your browser at present. Reading about IVF, egg freezing or any clinic here does not create a profile of you.
Two technical exceptions apply to every visit:
- Our hosting provider logs each request, including your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working.
- Our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches them.
What happens to clinic submissions?
Fertility clinics and their representatives can use our clinic submission form to ask us to list a clinic or correct its details. We receive the contact person's name, email address and role, the clinic's name, address and contact details, and links to the clinic's own pages.
We use this only for editorial review: we check the details against the clinic's official website and any regulator records, decide whether the clinic meets our criteria, update the page if it does, and reply. Submissions are free and do not affect where a clinic appears.
We keep each submission and our review notes for 24 months after we close it, as a record of why a page changed, and then delete them. The clinic submission form is for clinics only. Patients should not use it.
What about emails?
When you email us we receive your address, any name you use and the content of your message. We use it to reply and to fix any error you report. Ordinary correspondence is kept for up to 24 months; anything containing health details is deleted sooner, as explained above.
Why are we allowed to use it?
For server logs, clinic submissions and ordinary emails, we rely on our legitimate interests in running a secure, accurate public information site and in reviewing the submissions clinics send us. For any health information you choose to send, we rely on your explicit consent, as section 26 of the PDPA requires. Where a law requires us to keep or disclose data, we rely on that obligation.
Who else sees it?
Only the providers that run the site for us, such as our hosting and email providers, and only to the extent they need it to provide their service. Some may process data outside Thailand; we choose providers whose safeguards meet the PDPA's requirements for cross-border transfers.
We never pass your details to clinics, agencies, insurers or advertisers, and we never sell personal data. We would disclose data to an authority only where the law obliges us to.
What can you ask us to do?
The PDPA gives you the rights below. Email hello@thaifertilitypath.com to use any of them; we may need to confirm your identity, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
- See the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
- Have your data deleted, destroyed or anonymised
- Object to our use of your data, or ask us to restrict it
- Receive your data in a portable format, or have it transferred
- Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting what we did before
- Complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand
Readers in the UK and EU
Many readers research treatment in Thailand from abroad. If the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, you hold equivalent rights, health data receives the same special protection, and you can complain to your national supervisory authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
Will this policy change?
If we start collecting anything new, we will update this page, and the date above, before we do.
