About
King Chulalongkorn Memorial is a public teaching hospital owned by the Thai Red Cross Society and linked to Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine. It opened in 1914, founded by King Vajiravudh with royal donations, and the faculty describes it as having over 1,500 beds and more than 1.5 million outpatient visits a year.
Its obstetrics and gynaecology department publishes the full chain of pregnancy care: antenatal and specialist clinics, inpatient wards, a delivery room, an intensive care unit for obstetric and gynaecological patients, and operating theatres. A reproductive health clinic is also listed, though IVF and egg freezing are not described in the pages used for this profile.
Weekday clinics follow office hours. Patients who need evenings or weekends can use fee-paying after-hours clinics and Premium Care Clinics by appointment. There is an English website, but floors and times are not always consistent from one page to the next.
Women's Health and OB-GYN Services
Pregnancy care here is organised through the Antenatal Care Clinic (Bhor Por Ror Building, 10th floor), which follows low-risk and high-risk pregnancies through to delivery. Services include counselling on genetic conditions and thalassaemia, screening for gestational diabetes, assessment for complications and checks on the baby's wellbeing.
Behind the clinic the department has a delivery room, inpatient beds, operating theatres and an intensive care unit for obstetric and gynaecological patients, which matters if a pregnancy becomes complicated. A reproductive health clinic appears in the department's listings too.
The antenatal clinic works weekdays only. For appointments outside those hours, a fee-paying after-hours OB-GYN clinic, five floors higher in the same building, runs on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. This setting may appeal to women in central Bangkok who value having intensive care on hand during pregnancy.
